Reservation

Q. How do I make my reservation?
A. To make reservation? Kindly use our Online Reservation Form available on this webText. Please ensure that your furnish all the required information as specified on the Reservation Form.

Q. When I submit my Reservation Form, where does my request go to ? How do I know if my booking is fully confirmed ?
A. It will be sent to [email protected] via email if it is a confimed and prepaid booking. You will receive an ackowledgement email which will mention that your booking is confirmed.

Q. If I do not receive the acknowledgement email, what should I do?
A. You may contact us at 6088-252230 or email to [email protected] for further assistance.

Q. What happens if I encounter problem with my reservation upon checking-in?

A. It is advisable to provide us your booking confirmation number (Stated in the confirmation letter).  Kindly bring along the confirmation letter with you.

Q. What do I need to present upon checking-in?
A. Your booking confirmation number or the confirmation letter.

Q. How far ahead should I make the reservation ?
A. Anytime at your convenience if the rooms are still available on your preferred stay period. We do advise you to book earlier for those peak periods i.e. Chinese New Year, mid year School Holiday/Sabah Harvest Holiday, end year School Holiday/Christmas/New Year and also other Public Holidays especially falls on the weekends. 

Q. Is it advantage for us to book early?
A. Yes, it is better to book in advance as to avoid unable rooms especially during the weekends, all public holidays and school holidays. 

Q. Can I still pay by cash upon check-in after I make my booking via online ?
A. For all the online bookings, the full amount of your total stay will be charged immediately to your credit card once you fill in the details at 'Payment' section. When you receive an ackowledgement email, this means that your booking is confirmed and payment settlement has been processed successfully. 

Rewards Program

Q. What is Rewards Program and how does it work?
A. The Rewards Program makes it easy for you to earn Reward Points for every reservations made through Likas Square Apartment Hotel website.  The more bookings you make online via www.likassquare.com.my, the more points you may earn and accumulate for you to redeem for your next booking.  

Q. Do I need to pay to become Rewards Program member?
A. Absolutely free of charge. 

Q. How do I become a member of the Rewards Program?
A. Simply submit your reservation request and you'll automatically be registered as our member of Rewards Program at www.likassquare.com.my, or simply sign up here. So you may access your account and enjoy the benefits of Likas Square Apartment Hotel Rewards program. Members who sign-up through our website will automatically receive 200 bonus points.

Q. How do I check my points balance and booking details?
A. You need to log in to your account and click on the 'Rewards Points' tab to see details of your previous transactions. Your available points balance will be displayed on this page. You may also check the status of your outstanding bookings on this page.

Q. How long does it take before my Rewards Points are credited to my account?
A. Rewards Points will be credited to your account 1 days after your departure date from the hotel.

Q. How long are my Rewards Points valid?
A. All Rewards Points accrued will be valid for 365 days.

Q. What is the minimum number of points I can redeem?
A. The minimum redemption level is 10,000 points which is worth MYR 20.00.

Q. I have chosen the wrong redemption option. Can I redeem a different Redemption Level?
A. We regret that you will not be able to change your redemption level after you have submitted your reservation.

Q. I haven't redeemed points on the booking form. Do I still have the option to redeem?
A. We regret that you will not be able to redeem points after you have submitted your reservation.

Q. I made a booking with redeeming points but would like to cancel it or shorten my stay. Will my points be refunded?
A. Should you cancel or shorten your booking where your points were redeemed, your points will be refunded upon cancellation. For shortened-stay bookings where we need to refund you the reduced amount of the booking value, the points you have used for the booking will be refunded first. If the amount to be refunded exceeds the value of the points you have used, you will be refunded in cash in addition to the points.

Q. What happens to the booking I made prior to the launch of the Rewards Program? (Launch Date: 19 January 2012)
A. Any bookings made prior to the launch of the Rewards Program will not be creadited into Rewards Points.

Q. How can I earn points and how many points do I earn for each booking?
A. For bookings paid on our website, reward points earned are based on the total cost charged to your credit card. 20 rewards points will be earned on every Ringgit (MYR) spent. For example, if you make a booking worth MYR 1,000 and the full amount is charged to your credit card, you will receive 20,000 points on the transaction.

Q. If I made the booking on behalf of a friends using my account, will I earn the reward points?
A. Rewards Points will be credited to your account for every booking you make, regardless of who the guests are.

Q. Can I purchase reward points?
A. We regret that the Reward point is not for sale.

Q. Can I transfer points to my family and friends?
A. We regret that the Reward points are not transferable.

Q. What happens to the reward points I earned upon my booking if I am refunded or cancellled my travel?
A. Refunded or cancelled travel will not be eligible to earn points. No points will be credited to your account.

Q. Do I earn reward point if I submit a feedback?
A. Yes. Once you have checked out, you will be asked to provide feedback on your stay. You will earn a 500 points for every completed hotel review.

Q. How do I post a review?
A. A reminder email will be sent to you after your check out date and notify you to provide a feedback. You maypost a review either by clicking on the hotel review link in the review reminder email. Or, You may also login to your account and click on the "Reviews" tab.

 

Cancellation Policy

Q. How do I change or cancel my reservations?
A. Please contact our front office department as it is faster to do so.

Q. What is your Cancellation Policy and what is the penalty if we defaulted?
A. Our Cancellation Policy is 01 night cancellation fee imposed for bookings cancelled within 72 hours or no-show. Except for those bookings booked under our 'Early Bird Promo, will be non-refundable if cancel or no-show. Cancellation fee 20% apply for all cancellation made.

Payment

Q. What credit card types are accepted for guarantee / deposit or payment if we defaulted?
A. Visa and Master cards.

Q. Do you accept Visa Electron Card?
A. We regret that we do not accept Visa Electron Card.

Q. When do I have to provide my credit card details?
A. When you fill up our Online Reservation Form. Payment settlement will be processed after you submit your booking request.

 

Rooms & Rates

Q. Based on the rates offered on your website, is it possible for us to ask for special discount?
A. Rates portray on our website are our internet published rates. There is no further discounts be extended. However, we do offer promotions on monthly basis which is lower than our internet published rates.  Please feel free to view our 'Room Promotion' for the latest offer.

Q. We are Malaysian government Employees of a Foreign government, are we entitled for are special rates?
A. Yes, government rates will be accorded to Malaysian Government servants when make booking thru phone or email. Government ID is required to be presented upon check-in in order to eligible the government rates otherwise the room rate will be revert to our walk-in published rates.

Q. What are the check-in & check-out time?
A. Standard check-in time is at 2.00 pm onwards and check-out time is 12.00 noon.

Q. We will be arriving at 5.00 am in the morning. If we check-in at this time, do you consider thia as 1 night?
A. Yes, our new day starts at 6.00 am.

Q. Our flight home is at 12.00 am, we will like to check out late at 8.00 pm. What is your rate for late check out?
A. It will be considered as 01 night stay and chargeable at full night rate.

Q. We will be arriving around 3.00 am, so can we check in at that time?
A. If your booking made includes 01 pre-stay night, you may check-in at any time after 12.00 midnight. For example, your arrival is at 3.00am on 11 May and your confirmed booking must be including the night of 10 May.  Otherwise, you will only be able to check-in after 6.00am if the room is ready.  

Q. We are aware that your check-in time is at 2.00 pm, but we would like to check in at 10.00 am, it is chargeable?
A. Early check in will be subject to availability on the day of arrival. Please indicate in your reservation form as we will take note and try our best to ready your room before your check-in time. 

Q. We are aware that your check-out time is at 12.00 noon. But due to our late flight, we wish to stay on until 3.00 pm. Is this chargeable?
A. Late check out until 1.00pm without charge will be subject to availability on the day of your departure. Any late check out from 1.00pm to 6.00pm is chargeable at half day rate.

Q. Do I need to prepare a cash deposit upon check-in?
A. Yes, We require MYR200.00 deposit at the time of check-in. This deposit is refundable upon check-out.

Q. Do I need to pay Tourism Tax?
A. Tourism Tax (TTX) in Malaysia will be enforced ONLY on foreign guests starting from 01st September 2017. LSAH will be collecting a flat rate of MYR10.00 nett per room per night upon check in effective 1st September 2017.

Transportation

Q. Is there a shuttle service to/from the airport?
A. We regret that we do not provide any airport shuttle service. However, we are able to arrange airport transfer at a charge of RM 80 nett per way (Airport to hotel or hotel to airport) and a 50% surcharge for transfers between 11.00pm to 06.00am.

Q. Any shuttle service or public transport are available to the city centre ?
A. Yes, we do provide free scheduled shuttle service from our hotel to the Kota Kinabalu City Centre on daily basis.

Facilities

Q. What are the facilities offered at your hotel?

Q. What are the facilities available in the rooms?
A. There are coffee/tea making facilities, a TV with selected ASTRO channels, a kitchenette (Cooking utensils & gas cylinder are available upon request and chargeable at RM 5.00 per day), washing machine is available upon request at a charge of RM 35.00 per day. Q. Do we need adaptors or transformers for our electrical devices?
A. If you are from Asians countries, adaptors or transformer are not needed but advisable to carry with you as some electrical voltage may differ. In Malaysia, the electricity runs on 240 volts with 50-cycle system.

Q. Do I need a Visa?
A. Depending on which country you are from. Please check with our local representative, embassy, consulate located in your respective country. The following webpage may be able to provide to you some information on this matter.

Q. Does anyone in Malaysia speak English or any other language?
A. English is the common language used here. Our national language is Bahasa Malaysia. Malaysians commonly speak Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin, Tamil, Cantonese, and Punjabi.

Q. Do we need to change money before or upon arrival?
A. For your convenience, it is advisable to change to local currencies as all transaction in Malaysia will be in Ringgit Malaysia (RM or MYR). However, there are moneychangers and banks nearby to do these transactions.

Q. Where can I exchange currency?
A. At the moneychangers.

Q. Are clothing and shoe sizes the same in Malaysia as in the US?
A. No.

Q. Do women have to wear hair coverings in Malaysia?
A. No. Only in places of worships.

Q. What is the standard tipping practice in Malaysia?
A. There is no tipping practice in Malaysia.

Q. What's the weather like there in Malaysia?
A. Malaysia has an equatorial climate with uniform temperatures throughout the year. If you are coming to the East Coast of Malaysia, especially to Kelantan and Terengganu, most of the hotel and resort along the east coast here are closed from November to January due to the monsoon season. Please check with us on this information.
